The use of technology in the classroom beneficial or harmful? Technology has hit our society faster than we can think. As adults, technology has been a very useful tool in our everday lives. We often think or state to our friends and familys', "I can not imagined living or functiong without my iphone." Our daily lives is surrounded my technology and we as adults can not function without it. Now using technology in the classroom can be vital to your students academic life. Research has shown that technology can provide our students with these outcomes:
1. Increase student collaboration in projects and classroom activities.
2. Provide instructional opportunities otherwise not available.
3. Increase mastery of vocational and work force skills.
4. Provide interactive learning with instructional programs.
5. Can increase opportunities for student-constructed learning.
6. Signifcantly impoves problem solving skills of leanring handicap students.
7. Improves writing skills as a result of using telecommunications.
8. Improves attitude and confidence especially for "at risk" students.

Princeton extensive research has also shown that many model schools have shown that technology has enhanced students learning. Students who have access to online materials perform better than those student who do not.

Parents, I can assure you that implementing technology in the classroom will open doors for many of your students. The computer can be a powerful tool when used correctly. As an educator, I will be able to provide viusals, hands-on, and interactive activities than can provide increase learning and the enjoyment of learning. I conclude, that technology can be very beneficial to your students and be seen as vital tool in our society and education when used correctly.
